Pear Lake hut in Sequia NP. First visit for both (Nick and I) of us. Totally blown away... unlike the Ostrander I definitely will return to this one.

Had a blast skiing with the hut master, Evan... and laughing at Nick stying to ski sunburnt with a hangover.

Drove friday night, got to the park around midnight. On the way in we stopped at a gas station with a subway...got a piece of bread and made our own super sub as our fuel.

Nick was amazed at all the climbing possibilties that he had never heard of...here is the "watchtower" lurking behind him.

Almost at the hut 2.5 hours later. Not a bad skin in at all. Behind the hut is what people call "little matterhorn".

With stoves, pots, bedding...all you need to take in is your normal gear, a down jacket and a summer sleeping bag. Our packs were very light and we arrived at the hut with ease.
