Nugget Powerhouse (Sept 10, 2009) : Albino! played at the Stillwater bar in Ashland on 9.9.2009... so after we shook our booties for a while, we got up the next morning and charged Nugget and Powerhouse with Smitty and Chris from Albino. I tried to kayak it... and got my butt kicked...

Portland (Sept 7, 2009) : Kimbo and I went up to Portland... checked out the Saturday Market, then to Jasper's (had dinner at the Kennedy school with Mark), Canoeing with Lou, Ming, Kimbo, and Jasper on a slough... where Lou did his first roll. The next day was epic, starting with a white water kayaking adventure on the White Salmon (Husan Falls to the lake), drinking beer, and buying a 30 lb salmon for 20 lbs.

Alameda/Tomales Bay/Bolinas (April 11 - 13, 2008) : An amazing "summer" weekend in the bay! Started off Fri night in Alameda grabbing sushi, icecream, sunset, and a cocktail with Kimbo for our one-year anniversary. After a quick Toronado stop, went to bed. Woke up early, picked up Alex, Messy, and Julie and drove up to Marshall, CA. to go sea kayak camping on our own beach! Ate oysters, chased cows, saw some leopard sharks... then rode horsies the next day, and hung out at Bolinas Beach... Capped the wknd off grabbing some IPAs and food at Iron Springs. Kayak around Alameda (Mar 10, 2008) : Yak'n around Alameda with Seth, Julie, Moses and Kimbo. A LONG day, LONG paddle...especially for the folks who don't paddle too often. We had lunch at Crown Beach. And at the expense of being late and being scolded when we got back to Cal Kayak, we did witness a beautiful sunset. Ate a China town right after... went home and SLEPT...

San Juans with Louie (Aug 29, 2007) : Here's a TR on a nice sea kayaking trip in the great nor' west! Here's basically what we did... (Aug 29) Flew from OAK to Seattle, Louie picked us up and we drove to Blake's Resort to bunk for the night. (Aug 30) Picked up our kayaks, and hopped on the ferry to Orcas Island and paddled from Friday Harbor to Jones Island State park. (Aug 31) Paddled from Jones Island to Turn Island (Sept 1) From Turn Island to Blind Island (Sept 2) Blind Island back to Friday Harbor, and bunked in Burlington. (Sept 3) Burlington to Seattle, had dinner and stayed with Kim's relatives. (Sept 4) Cleaned up Poo. Rode a giraffe unicycle. Click here to see the route on Google Map!!!

Alaska - Swan Lakes trip (Labor Day, 2006) - Journal : Flew up to Anchorage, AK with Kim on labor day, 2006. Nick and Kelly picked us up at the airport, and stayed at a hotel. Drove to Soldotna where Nick's dad dwells. Got a ride out to the Swan Lakes trail, spend a few nights in that lake system, a night on the moose river, and exited at the Moosequito.
