A beautiful day, after a few days of heavy storming.
Loo-doo skinning up. We started at the Sugar Bowl parking lot. You can also buy an 8$ one-ride lift ticket... but we had Mingie...
Matty... with a big bag.
We skinned up the boundary of Sugar Bowl and finally reached this... the start of the backcountry.
Some tasty turns.
And Mingie - the mountain dog... lovin' livin'
On the ridge from Mt. Lincoln (sugar bowl) headed towards Anderson Pk.
Matty making tracks out to Benson with Tinker Knob in the background.
Another shot of the ridge.
Loo-doo trying to stay covered..
And a little break at mid-day
Looking back at our progress.
And the first cabin. Benson Hut. The least visited cuz of the access, and it's old too...
This was the only thing I saw upon approaching the area.
We went up Anderson Pk... a short 5 min jaunt for the sunset.
At the summit
And cooking inside. This hut has no solar power.
But we had it all to ourselves.
Sunrise... day 2 was a little cloudy.
Mingie on top of Anderson
The outhouse at Benson
Snowmobile tracks in a no snowmobile zone...
Matty overlooking a nice view.
Top of Tinker Knob.
Scoping out some possible terrain...
Going out after arriving at Bradley felt nice. Small bags... woohoo.
New Bradley Hut!
Solar Powered... but we used these Candles as it runs dry on cloudy days.
The morning of our final day was a beautiful blue-bird.
And I went off to get some turns... while the other two snoozed...
With Mingie lagging behind.
Skin track stoke!
Bradley Hut is a 10 min skin from the meadow.
Here is Mingus drooling over the turns he's about to make.
And for lap 2. Louie and Matty finally got their act together and joined me for lap 3.
Another peak we skied down.
And Matty going all over the place.
At our pick up location on hwy 89. Matty was bored...
But we were soon joined by some extreme sledders. Loo got a kick out of them.
