Some of these are matty's pics...
Did some shovel tests to look at the layers at the bottom. Nice consolidation up top... about a foot down there's a layer of wet (rainssoaked) snow, but the two layers bonded well. There was some hoar forming on the top layer, but looks like it'll consolidate well with the next layer.
