Next year, I propose we do the America's Most Beautiful Ride.
Giving us a chance to do a century.
Some panos. Check it out by clicking on L or O, or by saving it as original.
Getting new tires with the Tandem, "Ole Easy" on top.
Funk trying the slack line...
While Mingie flirts with his boyfriend... wait how did poncho change color?
Yeah... this is what he did half the time "wrestling" with the Ming.
No pics of the Canadian Mist... but that's who won. Here are the losers of the heroic match.
After funk kicked his hangover, he decided to try out the hardest trad climb he's ever tried.
We climbed at the Lower Buttress at the Leap. A great day, and climbed 5 routes... and Funk dropped me once! That jack ass, never trust that kid. Especially ladies...
Including two top roped 10b...
Ahhh... this is why Funk can't climb...
This cloud worried us on the drive home to meet the other kids at the beach.
But, despite a 10 second drizzle, the beach was sunny.
Kevin, after he just nailed Moses with a frisbee... or after I missed the frisbee cuz I was just taking this pic. Debatable.
Kim has an idea...
And the group expands on it...
a few more pics of the sunset.
and the lovely couples...
... maybe the loveliest.
Tossing the bee.
Sunday: We woke up at 5:30 a.m. As you can see Alex is still asleep.
Kim is wishing the bottle is full of coffee..
is almost unbearable.
The ride was really nice. And it was quite beautiful.
Here we are climbing up to Emerald Bay.
My favorite stretch with Fallen Leaf on one side and Emerald Bay on the other.
Kimbo is getting warmed up.
First rest break. Alex wastes no time carbo loading.
Kimbo's feet are frozen. She's not too happy :(
There were lots of tandems on the ride... including this recumbent tandem.
Lots of riders. I heard there were somewhere near 1800 riders.
Kimbo ... always on the phone.
POTATOES. WOOHOO : )
Adam was having trouble controlling the bike. So he took the bike to the emergency repair.
The condition of his bike is summed up by the mechanic, "well, basically, your bike is really F-ed up."
More tandems. We didn't see one that was even close to as old or as nice as ours...
Lunch stop. All the breaks, and the lunch stops were fantastic. Great food, and lots of breaks... making it easy to keep the group together.
Group shot #1
And group shot #2
Kevin riding through town.
Going through the tunnel at Cave Rock.
